Raw Food Diet, Day 220- Boredom Becomes Me

This is what a pair of disgruntled faces looks like:

On a scale of 1 t0 10 of gruntledness, I'd rate myself a 10.  That's a very unhappy pup.  I believe that I am losing my mind.  My precious, brilliant little mind.  It's threatening to pack up and move away and leave me behind.  And why?  Because I'm Bored.  Capital 'B.'   First I was on lock-down because I was coughing.  Now it's been raining out and we haven't been getting out for our morning exercise because of that.  Humans.... Ack!  Always coming up with excuses to stay tucked into their overrated sleeping crate.  Bunch of no-good lazy snoozelers.

How am I supposed to be a marathon athlete?  These muscles haven't been worked or tired in a week!  I've seen no friends, played no games of Chase, and this belly has remained bone-dry from a sudden lack of kiddie pool.  Withdrawal!  Pain!  Horror!  This beastly mind and body need work.  Serious work.  Hard work.  So I'll be seeking out some sort of stimulation by driving mom out of her gourd while she's trying to make the cheese money and be productive.  No way buddy!  This kid's running the casa today.

But wait!  Mom has worked her dark magic on me once again.  After breakfeast she plied me with a good bully stick chew and before I knew what had happened I was reduced to this:

And this:
Evil!  How did she do that??  I think mom knows that nothing's finer than a slip-cover-less sofa because I can wedge my body in-between the pillows.  I just can't resist a good pillow wedging.  It's just so.... yawn.... comfy and so... double-yawn... cozy that I can't keep my eyes....

ZZzzzzz

AB (After-Breakfast) naps are the best!

I also find that my best naps are when I'm wedged deep between things. Pillows and warm bodies are my absolute favorites.

My mom got my new harness from fordogtrainers.com. I don't know if they have retractable leashes on there, but you can check it out. Thankfully my retractable leash has proved far more durable than my past harnesses.

Stanislaw!

I think that is the best wedgie I have EVER seen! (It's my kind of wedgie ~ that's what I'm saying.)

I'm going back to look at your last couple of posts. It seems you got yourself a new 'do!

Goober love,
Stanley

Stan,

My mom has been making some noise about getting a slipcover for my sofa because of my alleged shedding. How can I stop her?

Awwwww Stan! Look at how cute you are, all snoozely and comfy on the couch cushions. You look like a good snuggle buddy!
Thanks for leaving me a note about allergies and the link to that article. I think my parents are going to try a homemade diet with me, but we aren't 100% convinced about the raw part. We will be looking to you for inspiration!

Haha! Those photos of you snozzling are cool...*wink* It's been raining here a lot too, and it's ALWAYS raining when Mom comes home from her work, just when it's time for my walkies too...*sigh* If you find any other form of entertainment, do share!

BTW, to answer your question about beef, Mom just got back from somewhere with a big bag of yummy smelling stuff! She told me it's BEEF! YUMMMM!! As she was cutting and bagging, she slipped me and Kenji a few bites to taste...by gosh, were they delicious! It's SOOOOO much better than chicken! hehe! She said I will get to taste those after the buffalo...hehe!

Hi Stanislaw, your mom has got you figured out, doesn't she! hee hee. those bully sticks do the trick for us too. chewing a bully stick and then napping on the couch is a great way to spend a rainy day. it's the next best thing to running and jumping and playing!

woofs.

That is a pain that you have had to interrupt your vital marathon training. When I am bored we practice all my tricks for something to do.

You look so comfy on the couch. A bully stick and a nap-life is good.

Your friend,
Niamh

Stani, my handsome beastly one, I apologize for my absence of comments, my mommy has held the computer hostage for a while and claimed their was no internet access while we were moving!

Anyway, we are back online and you are looking as beastly as ever. I am also a sucker for a bully stick...makes me sleepy too!

This rain is a major bummer!

Kisses,
Ella Bean

Hi Stanislaw,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. My Dad used to have two Cocker Spaniels (Snoopy and Twinkle) and we all think you are just gorgeous. If Dad had his way a Cocker Spaniel would definatley be the brother/sister of choice!

Now onto other matters. Spookily, Mum and Dad were just discussing the possibility of switching me onto the BARF diet (chiefly due to Mum's growing paranoia where my kibble is concerned) and were doing a little research, I checked back at my blog and there is a comment from you and.. HOLY DOG!! It's a blog about Barf Diets! You were sent to me!!! It's fate!! Mum is going to have a very good read back at your blog as she is going to need all the help and advice she can get in order to make this work! We may be picking your brains at some point (if you don't mind)
It's really great to meet you.

smoooches and tailwags,

Ben xxxxxxx

oh, Stanislaw, you look like you are in never-never land. I missed my walk yesterday because of the rain but I hope I get to take one this afternoon since the sun is shining today. I wasn't lucky enough to get a bully stick yesterday, though.
