Raw Food Diet, Day 409- Pent Up Wackies

Aloha feaster dudes!
I've snapped my humans into working order and we're finally back to gettin' down with our funky selves. We even went for a fast hunt yesterday and I was SO HAPPY (can you tell from that picture above?). I had so many saved up wigglies from days trapped at home and slow walks that I ran my bum off for almost 3 miles, did a few sprint laps through the bark park and I still was bouncing off the walls by nightfall. That'll teach my folks to keep me at home!

While mom was sick, we spent a lot of time doing some seriously dull indoor things - like laundry. Sure, it's fun to make forts out of clean clothes and thrash through all the folded stuff, and all that static and Naughty Boyness makes Big Pupi and me get a little wrastly with each other...
...but it's just not that energy burn that I need! Man, I am so happy that things have returned to normal. It's supposed to be a whopping 40 degrees today, and I can't wait to expose my freshly shaved back and belly to the wild Chicago air on our run this afternoon. I'm also super pumped for school tomorrow, which will unfortunately be my last day since next weekend Big Pupi is scheduled to volunteer at the Chicagoland Pet Expo and represent his therapy organization. I wanted to go too but mommy said I have to have that special therapy dog bling to get in. Whatever! Being a Naughty Boy is WAAAAAY more fun, and I'll get to sit at home and be manly with dad all afternoon. I bet there will be lots of cheezy snacks and sports. Sweetness.

To get back to my stinky days with sickly humans - my mom was so bored chillin' at home with that flu bug that she took up knitting dog sweaters. This pink one was supposed to be for Big Pupi's 4-lb chihuahua girlfriend Lilly, but due to mom's lack of skills and knowledge about something called "gauge" (thanks for clearing that one up, Beckett's mom!) it wound up being about 2 times too big. And since we don't know any girl doggies that would fit this, we'd like to offer it to any blog dog that can squeeze themselves in. It measures about 14 inches around the chest and 12 inches along the back. It would be good for a pug-type body that has a round rib cage and short shoulder-to-tail measurement. If you're a fit and you would like to have it, send me an email at and we'll mail it to you!

In other canine news... I had the craziest thing happen yesterday. A lady approached mom on the sidewalk while Pupi and I were doing our Good Boy business outside, and asked when our next litter was planned. She offered mom a LOT of money for one of our puppies. Ugh... didn't she see our weebles? We lifted our legs sky-high to get that pole! (A lot of folks think that Big Pupi is a lady because of his tiny size, but most folks know that I'm a boy because I ooze beastliness.) Imagine her surprise when she found out that we were both males, neutered, and from a shelter. She was shocked! She couldn't believe that pure bred, friendly, housebroken dogs were available at shelters. Then mom went on and on about how Oprah just adopted a cocker spaniel puppy from PAWS Chicago and the lady was so excited that she said she'll go check out the shelter on Saturday. Woohoo! We LOVE promoting adoption! We hope she falls in love with a pup tomorrow.

But all I can think about right now is my run scheduled for when my breakfast "hits bottom," as mom says. I'm sooooo pumped!
Happy Friday the 13th everyone. You know that every day is the best day of my life, and we can make this date a good thing. Let's see... it's 3/13 today and 3+1+3=7 which is a lucky number. And you can say that it's 3/13/2009 and 3+1+3+2+9=18 which is one of mom's seriuosly lucky numbers. See? It'll be amazing!

Have a wonderful weekend, folks!

I seriously suspect Big Pupi would do anything to make us look bad. His Good Boy status, his total lack of Teeter Terror and his irrestible mohawk would deplete any respect we'd work hard for. Thrash him for me, will ya? Can you stand to live with him after all the adoration from the Chi Pet Expo? He will need some serious humbling.

Good to see your mom didn't even think to get you in that coat. Whew! Keep Flu-Bug away or else she'll dream up other stinky ideas. And good to see your back in action, baring your bellies to whatever Chi-town weather has in store.

Did you know that today is the SECOND Friday the 13th in a row? We already went through this in Feb.!

Oooh.....Ms. Alpha roasted a chicken last night! I can tell this Friday the 13 is going to be Fenway's LUCKY DAY!

Good job to your Mom for making finishing a sweater (Sister is a girly-girl, but clearly too big)! Our Mom has lots of squares and half-knitted rectangles, but nothing that actually looks like clothes! I am also pretty relieved that there weren't any pictures of you in that girly get-up, but your blue coat does look pretty good. I haven't had to wear clothes since that evil Halloween (when everyone laughed at me), but with all this snow we got, Mom thinks it might be time!

Glad to see that you are back in action Stanislaw and glad to know that your mom is doing better. Even if she is knitting little dog sweaters.

Amazing that the lady thought that you boys were going to have puppies! I hope that she adopts a nice little pup and gives him a good home. Although having a puppy at home right now, why anyone wants one is beyond me!

Enjoy the weather and your manly time with your dad.

Your friend,

Wow, there sure are loads of things happening for while your Mom is feeling under the weather!

I hope the event goes well, and Pupi will tell us about it too!

Your Mom made a doggie sweater? Sweet! At least your Mom finished one...MY Mom couldn't put the knitting needles together to make string. LOL!

I don't understand the Friday the 13th thing...probably coz it's not so widespread here in Malaysia. Nothing happened today to any of us, bad or good. LOL! Hope you guys have a great weekend!

I'm glad to hear that your mom is feeling better and that you're back to your beastly fitness regime. I can't believe that lady thought that Big Pupi was a girl! Didn't the insanely manly and cool mohawk give any hint? Maybe Big Pupi should start wearing manly gear to help get the word out that he's all boy.

Good on you and your mom for getting the word out about adoptable dogs! There are so many dogs in need of homes and if hoomans look hard enough they could find the perfect dog for them, be it a mixed breed or purebred.

I would love to wear that pretty pink sweater, but I think it might only work as a bonnet-scarf for me - with my ears sticking through the leg holes!

My Momma thinks she might want to try a dog sweater sometime, do you have a pattern? She THINKS she knows something about gauge, so maybe she will make one for a doggie friend with some leftover yarn. I don't really need any sweaters, since I get too hot once it hits 50 degrees.

Someone peemailed my Mom about me being a STUD for their BITCH WTF?! I don't have those accessories anymore either. Anyway, glad you are getting some of that energy out of ya, I know how it is. That sweater is great and I'd love to slap it on Tanner, but Mom said he has enough 'issues' as it is he doesn't need a pink sweater.

Your mom is so talented handsome boy!

And that last pic of you just makes me wanna...

Yep Stani. Naughty boy stuff is is much more fun. And bark out loud at sending the lady to the shelter. Will she get a naughty boy or a smug pug with a new pink coat...

Wiry wags, Eric xx

Stani Mani!

I'm SO much more into the naughty boy than the good boy but my girl is so used to naughtiness of the highest order that my brand of naughtiness barely registers with her. Guess I need to up the beast factor. You are an inspiration.

Funny that lady wanted your puppies. Glad you turned her onto adoption. Plenty of us good dogs came from that background.

Can't wait to hear more of your and Big Pupi's adventures.

Goober love,

Hi, Stan!
Your mom made a beautiful sweater!
You would not believe how many times people calls me "boy". I wonder if my dresses mean something to them! I guess not!
Kisses and hugs

We can't believe you were mistaken for a girl, Stan! This woman obviously needs an eye exam ASAP!
What a pretty doggie sweater your mom made! We hope some lucky girl puts it to good use!

Love ya lots
