On Sunday my family, my buddy Hunter and his mom all headed down to the SuperAwesomeFunBeastly Squirrel Park in my neighborhood. Us 3 pups chased those tree lobsters around like a bunch of lunatics, and the nice cool fall weather gave us that extra zing of energy we needed to stay on The Hunt a bit longer than usual. By the end, Hunter wound up taking the Mommy Taxi most of the way home, and was cuddled up in his human's arms because he was so pooped! I trotted home and then flopped my belly on that nice cold marble lobby floor that I love so much. Mom actually had her flashy toy with her this time, and now we have some sweet photos of our travels.

The way the world looks to a sporting dog.
"Dude! That squirrel just totally disappeared into thin air!"
"I wonder if Betty Crocker has a recipe for this."
Hunter chased one up a pine tree.

"Come back here and climb into my mouth!"
Mmmm mmm. Protein on the run.
I ran my little bum off going for those critters.
After an hour of chasing and dragging our humans around, we all trudged home.
Cool marble on my belly!
It was super fun! Pupi and I polished off a bowl of water once we were home and then settled down for some shut-eye. Our folks woke us for a quick weeble trip and then it was bully stick chew time. Some day we'll get us a squirrel, I just know it! I'll have my squirrel burger rare and with cheese, please.

What great pics! And I know you must have had the time of your lives chasing those evil tree lobsters!
Did your humans make you stay on leash to chase those tree lobsters??!! SO UNFAIR! How are you supposed to catch them that way?
Last fall I went to visit my Uncle Peter who keeps lots of birds and I got to run free and I actually caught a duck! Momma made me let him go though. She is such a party pooper.

Are your people's arms still attached to their shoulders? You guys looked like you were having a great hunt and your people were holding you back! I've never caught a squirrel either but I bet they would be extremely tasty!
Your friend,
Niamh
Tree lobsters *do* sound tasty. I had a lobster stuffie and it was really fun to destuff. Getting all the tasty bits out of the claws took a lot of work and was especially gratifying.
Mom and I finally worked out a couch compromise involving me lying on top of her legs. She had some lame excuse about not being able to breathe with bronchitis and 60 lbs of Labrador on her chest... Humans are pathetic.

Sounds like you had a great hunt! My mom really liked the picture of how us hunting dogs see the world. I hope you get to have one of those squirrel burgers soon.
hi stan and pupi,
thanks for visiting our blog and leaving a nice comment. our secretary would like to add you in our list of favorite blogs, if that is okay?
that was some adventure you had guys. we've never seen a squirrel in person-- there isn't one in our country, so we're not sure how a squirrel burger would taste hihihi.
we love your blog, its both entertaining and informative. keep blogging!
